Pastor Stephen Robinson, Jr. M.Div.

As a powerful and prolific preacher of the gospel, for over 30 years Pastor Stephen M. Robinson, Jr. has traveled the country, preaching, teaching, and conducting workshops, as he is committed to edifying ministries everywhere. Born on July 24, 1974, in Murphysboro, Illinois to the late, Pastor Stephen Robinson, Sr. and District Missionary Eugenia Robinson, he was reared in holiness at Zion Temple Church of God in Christ, where he currently serves as Senior Pastor. As an anointed minstrel, Pastor Robinson has touched countless lives across the country through his music ministry. In 2014, he was appointed as the State Minister of Music, as well as State President of the Men’s Department, of the Southern Illinois Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, Church of God in Christ (C.O.G.I.C.).

Pastor Robinson received his high school diploma from Carbondale Community High School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. Later, he became the first-ever to receive a distance learning, Master of Divinity degree, from the C. H. Mason Seminary, Interdenominational Theological Center, in Atlanta, GA. Pastor Robinson is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling, at the New Brunswick Theological Seminary, in New Brunswick, NJ. As a civil servant, he is employed full-time with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services as a Child Protection Investigator.

Pastor Robinson answered his call to ministry in the Spring of 2004, and became a licensed minister at Zion Temple C.O.G.I.C. Thereafter, in July of 2007, he became an Elder in the Church of God in Christ, ordained by the late, Bishop H. E. Cawthon. In August of 2007, he married the girl of his dreams, Evangelist Neophansya (Watkins) Robinson. The two of them serve together in ministry and are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Morgan Sarai and Madison Sanaa and a handsome son, Stephen Maurice III (Tre). On March 1, 2014, Pastor Robinson was installed as the Senior Pastor of Zion Temple Church of God in Christ, by Bishop E. R. Patterson Jr. Later, in February of 2016, he was appointed as the Assistant Superintendent of the Upper Southern District (Southern Illinois Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, C.O.G.I.C.).

Evangelist Neophansya Robinson

Fervently spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, Evangelist Robinson remains committed to impacting God’s kingdom one soul at a time. As a proud native of East Saint Louis, Illinois, she received her high school diploma from Althoff Catholic High School, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, a Master of Business Administration degree from Webster University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree from Aurora University. As a civil servant, she is employed as a manager with the Illinois Department of Human Services.

Evangelist Robinson became a licensed Evangelist-Missionary in the Church of God in Christ in August of 2009, as part of the first class of Evangelist-Missionaries to be ordained under the leadership of State Supervisor Emerita, Mother Evonia Purkett, Southern Illinois Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction (S.I.EJ.). She serves faithfully at her home church, Zion Temple C.O.G.I.C. as the President of the Women’s Department, Business Administrator, and other areas where needed. She also serves both on the district and regional levels, as the District Chairlady of Upper Southern District, as well as the Southern Region Chairlady, SIEJ.

Recognizing that the most effective ministry occurs outside of the four walls of the congregation, she remains active in her community. She developed and organized the “Southern Table Community Food Pantry,” and also serves Thanksgiving dinner to the residents of a local domestic violence shelter. Additionally, she is a member of the NAACP-Carbondale branch and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, initiated in the Fall of 2003. She also she serves as a union steward and member of the Executive Board for the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. She is the proud wife of Pastor Stephen Robinson, Jr. and the mother of three wonderful children, Morgan Sarai, Stephen III, and Madison Sanaa.
